 Sandy's Stables first location is at 4565 Stover Road, in the beautiful town of Bellaire, Michigan.   Our  location offers scenic Trail Rides plus the opportunity for horse boarding and indoor riding in our Coverall Arena.
Sandy's Stables is situated on 18 acres of  green, grassy pastures and has a beautiful 100 year old barn.  This barn is equipped with 13 large box stalls, a heated gathering room, tack room and wash rack for our boarders. 
       A second barn serves as the  Headquarters for Sandy's trail riding business.  Her staff is anxiously waiting to take folks on  a beautiful and scenic trail ride.  The Stable's offers Trail rides, Pony rides, Lessons and Junior Lessons. 
     Behind the Trail Riding Headquarters is the 60' x 120'  Coverall Indoor Arena where Western/English riding lessons are taught.
      The Petting Farm is here for all to enjoy; where you can pet and feed the little critters.  The picnic area is a great location to sit and relax while taking in the sites, smells and sounds of the ranch.    Remember to  keep checking our website for updates and seasonal riding events.

Our new 2nd location:
Lakes of the North at 7181 Pineview Dr, Mancelona, MI.   Lakes of the North is a year round recreational community that is open to the public and has a golf course, restaurant, air port, lakes and club houses, camp ground, stables and so much more.  It is a great place to live or vacation and of course to enjoy a great ride on a nice horse!  At our second location we will be offering Trail Rides and Pony Rides only and accepting cash only.  The stables at Lakes of the North are open Thursday thru Sunday from Memorial weekend thru Labor Day weekend.  Lakes of the North current members also receive special discounts.  Please call (231) 585-6555 for more information and to make reservations at this location.

Horse Boarding
Inside boarding:  box stall $350-$395/month w/green pasture turnout during the day.  Includes hay and grain 2x/day.
Outside boarding:  pasture with turnout shed starting at $195/month ( includes hay only).
FREE use of the indoor or outdoor arena, scenic trails to ride.
If you would like us to do more for you and your horse (i.e. grain, blanketing, grooming, exercising etc.), we will be happy to put together a custom package for you.

Vacation Boarding
For vacationers that are coming to our area for a vacation and want to bring their horses along to enjoy our trails or for locals that want to go on vacation and need a good, safe, worry-free place for their horse(s) to stay while they are on vacation, we are here for you.  We will be glad to love on them for you when you can not.
Indoor boarding:  $20/night/horse,  includes hay and grain 2x/day
Outdoor Boarding: $15/night/horse,  includes hay only
Current Negative Coggins test is required.
Horse Lease Program
We have several horses available  to choose from for leasing.  With the lease program you will have full use of the indoor arena along with all of our trails.  It is like having your own horse but no long term commitment or big up front cost.   The lease programs available:   Shared Lease option #1 is $75/month allows 1 ride day per week, Shared Lease option #2 is $125/month with 2 ride days per week, Shared lease option #3 is $195/month unlimited riding on any day, and Private Lease is $350/month with unlimited riding and no one else rides the horse but you.  Use of saddle, pad, bridle and board are included with all leasing.  There is a minimum 1 year commitment for the private lease.  Several of our horses are also available for purchase so why not lease them first to make sure they are the right one for you before you buy.    Please call Sandy at (231) 533-9075 quickly to reserve your horse!
Kids Group Lessons
Kids Group Lesson run from 9am-1pm and are for children from ages 9 - 13.  The cost is $50 per student and the class is limited to 6 students with a minimum of 4 students so hurry and call to book your child now, spots fill up fast!  This class teaches your child about safety around the horse, how to properly groom, tack, mount, dismount, stop, walk, turn, and trot on horseback.  Then, we focus on teaching a specific event  and for the last half hour of the class parents are invited to come watch the students compete and show off their new skills.  The 2016 class dates are as follows: July 6, July 20, August 10.  Please call to reserve a spot for your child.
Kids Ranch Hand Helper
This program is designed for the kids that want to hang out at the ranch for a week and be a part of it all!  They must be at the ranch by 9am till 3pm.  They will work hand in hand with the other staff cleaning stalls, feeding horses, grooming and saddling horses, get to join one trail ride per day and lots of other chores as needed.  This is for kids ages 12 and up.  Schedule by apt/one student at a time. 
5 days - June, July or August  $250

Bellaire location:
From Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day the trail ride schedule is as follows 7 days per week:
     Basic trail rides at 10am, 12am, 2pm and 4pm 
     Private/ Trail Rides by appointment
     Pony Rides/Walks and Lessons by appointment
Lakes of the North location:
From Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day we will be open Thursday  thru Sunday only
Basic trail rides at 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm
Pony Rides by appointment
After Labor Day we are available by appointment only and only available at our Bellaire location.
**Reservations are highly recommended for all rides but walk-ins are welcome.  A 24 hour lead time is usually sufficient.
